The selective turquoise patina is the defining detail. It pools across the draped textile and hair mass, creating a two-material visual conversation against the warm smooth bronze of the limbs and face. This is not a uniform coating. Each piece is hand-finished, which means the patina settles differently in every casting. No two are identical.
Where it belongs.
At 9.2 inches tall, the figure is scaled for personal spaces. It does not demand a room. It claims a corner of one. The credenza where you keep things that mean something. The black marble cube base does the anchoring work. Its polished surface reflects the bronze warmth from above. The combined weight of bronze and marble - just under nine pounds - communicates material honesty before anyone reads a single word about it.
The craft.
Cast from solid bronze using traditional lost-wax foundry techniques. The smooth body surfaces are finished separately from the patina zones — the turquoise chemical treatment is applied by hand to the textile and hair areas only, then sealed. The marble base is hand-selected for tonal harmony with the bronze. Each piece is individually inspected before shipping.
