The rack is built from a row of solid wood slats cut to alternating heights, mimicking the layout of piano keys along the rail.
Each slat doubles as a hook —- pivoting outward on a metal screw when in use, folding flat against the rail when not.
When all hooks are folded in, the piece reads as a clean flat panel against the wall.
When open, the hooks extend at a slight upward angle, holding coats, bags, scarves, and keys without slipping.
The dark walnut finish is consistent across all slats and the backing rail, with visible wood grain throughout.
No wall mounting is required - the rack sits or leans as a freestanding unit.
