An arched floor lamp separates the light source from its own base. The weighted foot sits beside or behind a sofa while the curved arm reaches out over the seat, which puts light directly above a reader without requiring a side table underneath. Rated coverage is 5 to 10 square meters.
The shade is open at both ends, so light travels up toward the ceiling and down onto the surface below at the same time. That splits the output between ambient fill and directed task light from one fixture. Bulb tone is chosen at order: warm, cool white, or a tri-tone bulb that switches between settings. Height adjusts along the vertical stem.
