Nathan Cole

Contributing Editor, The Edit

Nathan Cole has spent fifteen years working at the intersection of interiors, material culture, and men's style. He trained as a residential stylist in London, where he worked with independent design studios on projects across Mayfair, Notting Hill, and the surrounding counties. That work took him to Melbourne in the early 2010s, where he consulted on a series of high-end residential builds and began writing about the objects and garments that define how considered men live and dress. He has been based in Singapore for the past six years.

His writing starts from a single conviction: that the way a man furnishes his home and dresses his body are expressions of the same sensibility. A well-chosen sculpture and a well-chosen jacket both communicate something about how their owner moves through the world. Neither requires justification. Both reward attention to material, proportion, and provenance.

At Moseles, Nathan writes The Edit, a column covering home decor, men's style, and the craft behind the pieces the store carries. Each article is built around specific objects, real dimensions, and the kind of detail that only comes from handling things in person. There are no trend forecasts and no filler. The Edit is a reference, not a feed.

Nathan's background is in residential interiors rather than fashion editorial, which shapes how he approaches clothing. He thinks about garments the way he thinks about furniture: in terms of longevity, material honesty, and how a piece ages. A jacket that holds its shape after three years of wear is more interesting than one that photographs well once. A sculpture that develops a patina is more worth owning than one that stays static. These are the standards The Edit is written against.
