Abstract figure sculpture strips the human body down to proportion and posture. Faces are simplified or left unmarked. The emphasis moves to the line of the shoulders, the tilt of the head, and the way the figure occupies space.
Each variant is a different figure from the same series. Arms Raised sits with knees drawn up and both hands resting on top of the head. Knee Rest lifts one knee, lays an arm across it, and tilts the head forward. Reclining leans back with one hand behind the head, the legs forming a low open arch. Kneeling is the tallest of the four, an upright block-form torso with one leg extended into a long arch behind it.
The dark finish carries warm metallic highlights along the raised edges. From a short distance the surface reads as aged bronze.
