The pairing of a stag and a crescent moon is a motif with a long presence in East Asian decorative craft, where the deer carries associations with longevity and seasonal change, and the moon with cyclical return. In contemporary resin sculpture, the composition produces a profile that reads as a single silhouette from across a room: the antlers and the curve of the moon arc into a unified geometric form above the body of the animal.
The integrated luminous element activates within the form, adding a secondary dimension in low-ambient conditions. The three finishes respond differently to both ambient and internal light.
