The cabinet is built in the full silhouette of a cello, from the carved scroll and tuning pegs at the top down to the rounded lower bout at the base.
The f-hole cutouts on either side of the waist are structural to the form, not decorative additions.
A full-length glass panel runs across the front face, keeping the interior visible from across the room.
Inside, four glass shelves sit at different heights across the upper and lower bouts.
